
Lifeline Assistance Program
The Lifeline assistance program offered by PrimeLink provides a customer credit for the Federal Subscriber Line Charge, Universal Service Fund, and a reduced monthly rate for local telephone service for residential customers. The assistance is provided to qualifying low-income residential customers.
The Federal Communications Commission has established this program to make telephone service more affordable to eligible customers. It is a program designed to make telephone service available at reduced rates to eligible residential customers.
Who qualifies for reduced Telephone Charges?
You are eligible for Lifeline Service if you are the recipient of one of the following: Medicaid, ADS, SSI (not disability), Food Stamps, Home Relief, HEAP, and Veterans Surviving Spouse Pension. Applicants must provide proof that they are currently receiving one of these benefits.
